Projects in Action

The video shows some of the projects in action that were implemented as part of some of the courses I underwent during the fall semester. The 3D models were created using Maya 2008 software as part of the 3D Modeling course. The programming projects were implemented in C++ as part of the Computer Animation Course.

Volume Rendering

The video shows the interaction between two or more pyroclastic puffs. Note the change in color when puffs overlap each other. The puffs were volume rendered using perlin noise and fractal brownian motion functions in c++. The rendered images were further run in sequence to get the final result. More about this can be found here.

Nucleared

The animation was done as part of an assignment in the 3D Modeling course. Particle system dynamics was used to get the smoke and fire simulation. More stills of the assignment can be found in the 3D modeling slide show.
